The Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) sends the Test Page to the copier and displays the RIP
and Print status screens so you can monitor the job.
6.
Examine the quality of the Test Page from the copier.
The Test Page confirms that the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) print engine is functional
and that the connection with the copier is good.
Checking network connections
After the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) is connected to networked computers, printing
problems may arise if the network hardware or software is not set up properly or does not
match network settings on the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1). Problems may also arise
when printing from a specific application or printing a particular file.
Most of these problems show up as printing problems, and do not necessarily indicate a
Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) malfunction. The customer’s network administrator can
eliminate many printing problems without requiring you to make a service call. The
network administrator deals with:
• Copier error conditions
• Network connection problems that result in the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) not
appearing in the printer list on the customer’s workstation
