Electric installation
To avoid the risk of damage to the contact grill, make sure that the rating on the data plate
corresponds to the voltage and frequency of the power supply.
Only connect the contact grill to an earthed mains supply!
Make sure the mains electric supply has a 30mA protection and a circuit breaker with 3 mm space
between the contacts.
Do not connect the contact grill to the mains electricity supply by a multi-socket adapter or an
extension lead.
All installation works must strictly comply with current local and national safety regulations.
On the back part of the equipment a sticker with the symbol indicates a terminal for the
equipotential connection to other appliances.
Connect the power cable to an earthed power supply.
4. Operating instructions
Never operate the equipment with wet hands!
Danger of scalding and burning! The plates are very hot. Do not touch the plates while the contact
grill is working.
Do not use heat-sensitive materials on the plates (plastic spoons or recipients etc.) because they
could melt or burn!
Avoid impacts or heavy weights on the glass ceramic plates because they can break.
Do not leave any object on the plate!
When you notice a crack or any other damage on the plate, immediately disconnect the equipment
from the electricity supply. The broken plate has to be substituted by a qualified technician.
In case water or any other liquid is accidently spilled over the grill, immediately disconnect it from
the power supply and let it dry completely before using it again.
4.1.
Getting started
Before using the equipment with food for the first time, turn on the plates at maximum
temperature (250º). Let the equipment work at this temperature for about 20 minutes in order to
evaporate any humidity.
4.2.
Operating the contact grill

The grill features a rotating knob for temperature regulation with a 50-250ºC scale.
4.2.1.
SWITCHING ON
Turn the temperature regulator to the desired position. At the turning of the regulator, the orange
signal lamp lights up in order to indicate that the equipment is heating.
4.2.2.
TEMPERATURE REGULATION
In order to regulate the temperature, turn the regulator to the desired position. When the plate has
reached the desired temperature, the signal lamp switches off. The signal lamp automatically switches
on again when the heating is reactivated after a temperature drop.
4.2.3.
SWITCHING OFF
In order to turn off the equipment, turn the regulator to position 0.
5. Cleaning
Always disconnect the equipment from the power supply before proceeding to any cleaning
intervention.
Do not use jets of water to clean the equipment. Do not pour water onto the equipment or onto
any of its attached components.
Before cleaning, let the equipment cool down!
