Working with the double-spindle stirrer
(see Fig. [j])
When working with a double-spindle stirrer,
e. g. the MX 1600/2 DUO, the machine must be
mounted as shown in Fig. Ensure that the stirrer
is clamped in the clamping device with the side
designated as the left one (“L” marking). Note that
the handle with the switch should run parallel
with the radial arm.
8.3 Mixing
procedure
Position the stirrer in the respective working
position by loosening the securing knobs
[1-6]
,
[1-7]
and
[1-8]
.
The radial arm
[1-4]
and the column
[1-1]
must move freely, meaning the securing knobs
[1-6]
and
[1-7]
may not be tightened.
The stirrer stand is designed so that the stirrer
can be swung level during the mixing procedure
(see
Fig.
[k]
), in accordance with the sticker on
the unit).
Switch on the stirrer with the On/Off switch
[1-27]
.
Proper mixing of the complete container contents
is enabled by the fl owing circular motion of the
stirrer. Therefore the stirrer tools can also mix
the material located close to the container siding.
8.4
Removing the mixing container
Due to the pre-load, the column can jerk
up. Therefore do not lean yourself over the
column!
Loosen securing knob
[1-8]
.
Hold the column
[1-1]
tightly and pull out lock
bolt
[1-15]
.
Slowly move up the column by lifting the radial
arm
[1-4]
until the lock bolt
[1-15]
engages.
In this position the radial arm can be turned
away by approx. 120°, in order to separate the
stirrer from the mixing container.
To release the mixing container, loosen the se-
curing knob
[1-17]
and push back the clamping
claw
[1-18]
toward the column of the stand.
Loosen the securing knob
[1-20]
, pull up the
clamping arm
[1-19]
and lock it in this position.
The mixing container with the mixed material
can be removed afterwards.
