2.1.4 Mounting/removing the lens and shield tube on type SBOC
The camera is shipped sealed with a protective cover. The
accompanying protective barrel consists of a support ring
and shield tube.
Note
Handle the protective barrel and lens with care.
Avoid dirt. Work in a clean environment.
Do not touch the inside of the Compact Vision System,
the lens or the glass surface of the protective barrel.
Mounting the lens
1. Unscrew the support ring from the shield tube.
2. If applicable, remove the protective cover from the lens
and the camera housing.
3. Screw the support ring hand-tight into the fixture of the
camera housing.
4. Screw the lens hand-tight into the support ring.
Mounting the shield tube
5. Check that the seal is seated correctly on the shield tube.
6. Pull the shield tube over the lens.
7. Screw the shield tube clockwise hand-tight into the
support ring.
