11.1.3

Standstill monitoring

Standstill monitoring checks the position controller to determine if the drive is within the standstill

message window (PNU 1042) for the duration of the standstill response delay (PNU 1043). After the

setpoint position (PNU 1040) is reached and the “Motion complete” signal is reported, standstill monit

oring is activated. If the drive is moved during active standstill monitoring, e.g. by external forces for the

duration of the standstill monitoring time from the standstill window, the following response occurs:

The “Standstill monitoring” status bit (SPOS.STILL, B6) is set

page 135.

–

The position controller attempts to return the drive to the standstill window.

Standstill monitoring cannot be switched on and off explicitly. Standstill monitoring becomes inactive

when the standstill window is set to the value 0.
