Description
The variable transformer EduTrainer contains one variable transformer and two rectifiers. The variable
transformer provides variable AC voltage. Both a variable and a fixed DC voltage source can be implemented
using 4 mm safety jumpers. The input side of the variable transformer is protected by a resettable 4 A
protective circuit breaker.
The variable transformer is supplied with mains voltage via jumpers from L1 to 5 and N to 1. AC voltage of
10 V to 250 V AC can then be set between sockets 3 and 1. DC voltage of approx. 10 V to 230 V DC rms can
be set on the + and - sockets if rectifier -T1 is connected via jumpers from 3 to AC1 and 1 to AC2.
If the second rectifier -T2 is connected via jumpers from L1 to AC1 and N to AC2, fixed DC voltage of approx.
210 V DC rms is set on its + and - sockets. The maximum current of 4 A for rectifiers must always be
observed. Fuse protection must be provided externally, if necessary.
WARNING
Warning – electric shock.
The protective grounding terminal must be permanently connected to the protective
ground of the installation during operation!
CAUTION
The EduTrainer may only be operated in properly secured networks. Always use an
EduTrainer three-phase current supply, order no. 571812, or an equivalent device.
CAUTION
Risk of burns
The device may become very hot during prolonged operation under high electrical loads.
Ensure adequate ventilation. Switch off the device to cool it off.
