Repair steps
This chapter describes how to dismantle, repair and assemble the rotary indexing table DHTG-…-A. Depending on the
cause of the defect to be eliminated it may be necessary to exchange several components. The cause of a defect must
therefore always be determined before starting a repair.
Note
The repair should preferably be carried out on a stable and flat work surface with storage for small parts.
4.1
Dismantling the rotary indexing table
The rotary indexing table DHTG-…-A comprises the following function groups:
• Plate with index plate
• Pinion and gear racks with shock absorber for the rotary motion
• Bolts for locking
Note
The locking cylinders must be moved downwards and the tension on the ball bearing relieved before the rotary index-
ing table is dismantled.
• Make sure that there is no supply line connected at port B.
• Supply port A with air to move the locking cylinders downwards.
4.1.1
Removing the plate
• Place the rotary indexing table on the work surface with the plate facing
upwards.
• Loosen the flat head screw in the plate and unscrew it.
Note (DHTG-65 and DHTG-90 only)
Note the position of the clamping ring in relation to the screw hole for the
flat head screw on the plate.
• Remove the clamping ring using two pin punches and a hole profile
(or another suitable lever tool).
Note
To loosen the clamping ring, the rotary indexing table must be held in place
(if necessary with the help of a second person or by securing the rotary
indexing table).
• Check the plate seal on the clamping ring for wear and replace it as follows
if necessary:
• Remove the plate seal from the clamping ring.
