4.5.1
Preparing the cylinder barrel
• Clean the cylinder barrel using a cloth and an air gun.
• Blow out the cylinder hole and the toothed belt throughfeed using an air
gun.
• Apply a continuous film of lubricant to the bearing surface of the cylinder
hole and the guide slot of the piston using a grease brush.

Preparing the clamping bodies
One of the two clamp pieces must contain a magnet (see chapter
).
Note
The north pole of a new magnet is indicated with a red dot. The north pole
must be pointing towards the clamp piece during installation.
• If necessary, insert a magnet in one of the clamp pieces using Loctite 6620.
4.5.3
Preparing the piston
For new pistons for toothed belt axes with slide only:
• In the case of newly ordered pistons, the 90° countersinks in the inner holes
must be reworked for use in toothed belt axes with slide. The following
values apply for this:
