The stronger the selected setting, the more the general positioning behaviour improves. However, a
stronger setting can also cause rough control characteristics, for example resulting in a high-frequency
humming motor. In this case, the scroll bar can be moved towards "Soft". Alternatively, the filter time
constant of the velocity filter ("Velocity control" parameter group) can be increased.
The status of the closed-loop calculation and origin of the closed-loop settings are displayed in the
lower part of this section on the "Closed loop" parameter panel.
The status can have the following values:

Description
Closed-loop settings for motor
with open shaft
The closed-loop parameters correspond to the default values of
the configured motor.
Calculated closed-loop settings
for the configured system
The closed-loop parameters were determined based on the selec-
ted motor, the selected axis and the set closed-loop dynamics by
actuating the "Calculate" button or by completing the drive con-
figuration.
The inertia ratio of the drive was taken into consideration when
calculating the closed-loop settings.
Closed-loop settings for unsup-
ported configuration
The closed-loop parameters were determined based on the selec-
ted motor, the selected axis and the set closed-loop dynamics by
actuating the "Calculate" button or by completing the drive con-
figuration.
It was established that there are no values for the selected
motor/axis combination.
The closed-loop settings must be adjusted manually to ensure
components are not overloaded.
Uploaded closed-loop settings
The displayed closed-loop settings are made up of values from the
(last) connected device.
Calculated closed-loop settings
invalid
No useful data could be calculated for the speed controller.
The data must be adapted manually.
