Care and maintenance
Warning
Moving masses can cause personal injury and material damage.
If a worn spindle nut breaks on a vertically or diagonally fitted EGC,
the useful mass will fall.

In case of signs of wear, return the EGC to Festo for repairs.
Controller signals can cause the EGC to make unintentional movements.
S
Switch off the controller for all maintenance work on the EGC and secure
it from to prevent it from being switched back on unintentionally.
During each servicing process:
S
Check the
axial play
of the slide for wear of the spindle nut. The wear on the
ball screw will lead to increased noise in the long−term and eventually cause
the ball screw to block or the spindle nut to break. Maximum axial play permit
ted is:

On cleaning and care:

Clean the cover band and guide rail if required with a soft cloth. Use any non−
abrasive material as a cleaning agent.
