Setting the TV off timer
The TV can be switched off within a specified time interval. To set the TV off timer,
press the OFF TIMER button on the remote control repeatedly to select a time interval
from 10 to 90 minutes. The TV is turned off and enters standby mode after the
specified time interval.
Using the teletext function
Many TV channels broadcast additional information via teletext. This TV is
compatible with all the teletext transmitting systems used by individual countries and
TV stations. To use the teletext function, press the TELETEXT button on your remote
control. Once the teletext has started, you can select and view the desired pages in the
following manner:
• Select the desired page directly by using the number buttons on your remote
control. Use the - / -- button to select a page number higher than 100.
• Select a group of pages using the coloured (red, green, yellow, and blue) buttons
on your remote control, directly above the TELETEXT button. These colours
correspond to the groups of pages marked in one of these four colours.
• Press the INDEX button on the remote control to view a list of all the teletext
pages and select the desired one.
• Press the PAGE buttons on the remote control to skip to the next or previous
page.
• In teletext mode, if you want to enlarge the size of the text being displayed, press
the ZOOM button on the remote control. When you press the button, the upper
half of the teletext page is enlarged. Press it again to enlarge the lower half of the
page. Press it once more to return to normal view.
• To freeze a teletext page on the screen for further viewing, press the HOLD button
on the remote control.
• Press the SUB PAGE button to project the text on top of the normal programme
that you are viewing. Press it again to return to normal view.
The counter will not be restarted if any button gets pressed
during the countdown; the TV will automatically enter the stand-
by mode.
