Riding Guidelines
Riding
Before starting your motorcycle, please check the traffic condition
around you. Adjust the rear-view mirror, and turn on the turn signal
light to indicate your riding direction.

Start the power supply, and retract the side stand. (For information on
how to start the power supply, see Page 29.)

Press the Electric start switch on the right handlebar. If the parking
mode indicator (at Gear P) goes off, and the READY indicator lights
up, you can begin the ride.

If the READY indicator fails to light up, the motor cannot be started,
and you cannot ride your motorcycle.

Acceleration and deceleration.
Acceleration: Turn the speed-control handle in direction (a).
Deceleration: Turn the speed-control handle in direction (b).

Slow down before entering a corner, and slowly turn the speed-con-
trol handle in the direction (a) when exiting the corner.
Be sure to use the turn signal light before turning around.
