225Ci / 225Mi Basket Full System
An Ambient Light Basket Full (ALBF) module emits light into the wastebasket. It determines
level of shreds in wastebasket by the light being reflected back from the shreds.
•
The motor will stop when the sensor determines that the waste bin is full, and the
shredder will not operate until the waste bin is emptied.
•
The bin full icon on the indicator panel will illuminate advising bin to be emptied.
•
The ALBF is located in front of the cutting head, right side of the cabinet shelf.
•
A wire harness connects the ALBF to the control panel PC board on the housing
cover.

Door Open Switch
•
The door open switch senses whether the cabinet door is opened or closed.
•
The shredder motor will not activate until the door is closed properly.
•
The switch is attached to a small ledge on the front of the cabinet.
•
Three (3) wires connect the switch to the main PC board.
•
If the switch is working, you will hear a clicking sound when the door is opened and
closed.
