5. Initiation
5.1 Configuration with OBID
®
MasterCard
After the activation, the
multijob-Reader will switch to the "MasterCard-Mode" for at least a
second. In MasterCard-Mode, it tries to receive an OBID
®
MasterCard and to read in the
configuration parameters stored in there.
Signalizing the operation modes in the MasterCard-Mode is performed via different LED- and
beeper-signals (see:
5.2 LED- and beeper Signals ).
The configuration via OBID
®
MasterCard is performed according to the following sequence:
5. Reset the
multijob-Reader. After this, the "MasterCard-Mode" will be active for at least 1 sec.
While the "MasterCard-Mode" is active, the LEDs will flash for 200 ms each.

6. If a valid OBID
®
MasterCard comes into the detection range of the multijob-Reader during
the MasterCard-Mode, the parameters are read out by the OBID
®
MasterCard and stored in
the multijob-Reader.
7. After all parameters have been read out and stored, the green LED and the beeper become
active for 800 ms. Error states are signalized by the red LED and the beeper (see 5.2 LED-
and beeper Signals ).
8. Then, the next OBID
®
MasterCard can be read in by the multijob-Reader.
