Measures to be applied for longer periods of rest
8.10.3.1
Measures before shutting down
DANGER!
Danger to life caused by explosive gas-air mixes!
–
Do not allow gasoline to come into contact with hot
components.
–
Smoking and open fire is prohibited.
–
Keep away from heat sources, sparks and other
sources of ignition.
–
Do not spill any gasoline.
If the machine is shut down for a longer period of time, e.g. winter
season, the following work must be carried out.
Depending on weather conditions these conservation measures
will protect the machine for approx. 6 to 12 months.
1.
Park the machine in secured condition

2.
Allow the engine to cool down for at least 30 minutes.
3.
Clean the machine thoroughly.
4.
Change the engine oil

5.
Use fuel stabilizer or drain off fuel completely.
1.
Mix fresh fuel with fuel stabilizer (follow the instructions of the
manufacturer).
2.
Empty the fuel tank and fill it with the prepared fuel mix.
3.
Start the engine and run the machine for approx. 10 minutes
in the open.
4.
Park the machine in secured condition.

Close the fuel valve.
