5.9 Splitting C40 / C90 Trackway
®
Boat Ramp
Equipment Required:
– Hand Line Assembly
C40 / C90 Trackway
®
Boat Ramp can be split to:
– Create shorter runs;
– Replace or repair damaged panels and sections.
C40 / C90 Trackway ® Boat Ramp can be split during deployment, recovery, or when all of the
C40 / C90 Trackway
®
Boat Ramp is on the ground.
The C40 Trackway ® Boat Ramp has Half Panels fitted approximately every 5m and it is at these
points that the C40 / C90 Trackway
®
Boat Ramp should be split, although the C40 / C90
Trackway ® Boat Ramp can be split using Full Panels.
It is recommended to split the C40 / C90 Trackway
®
Boat Ramp
using Half Panels because less force is required to extract them and
less clearance at the side of the C40 / C90 Trackway
®
Boat Ramp is
required.
Identify the row of Half Panels or Full Panels at the point where the split is to take place. Ensure
that the identified row is on the ground at the rear of the transporter.
If splitting at a row of Half Panels, ensure there is 2.5m clear on each side of the C40 / C90
Trackway
®
Boat Ramp.
If splitting a row with a Full Panel then make sure there is 5m clear on one side of the C40 / C90
Trackway
® Boat Ramp.
Locate the Locking Bolts at each end of the panels to be removed and the adjacent C40 / C90
Trackway
® Boat Ramp panel(s). Lift and slide these Locking Bolts / TamperProof Locking Bolts
into the open position.
