4.2.4 Rear Camera Wiring Route and Placement
for SUVs

Leave out enough cable that allows the rear cam stays connected without putting any
tension on the cable when opening and closing the tailgate.
If needed, set the cable clip on
top of the rear deck to clip and
hold the cable.
For SUVs, position the rear
camera wire between the vehicle
ceiling and trunk door. This will
account for the extended
distance between the ceiling and
trunk when the trunk door is fully
opened.
