General cropping is the process of removing scan data outside of the
object or area of interest.
3D View is used for general cropping. To crop scan points in 3D View ,
load the scans for the cluster you want to crop. Then use the
Polygon
Selector to make a selection. When you make a selection and right-
click on the selection, you have the option to delete all scan points either
inside or outside of the selection.

Scans must be loaded, without scan point clouds created.

To use the PMMyLMM MMMMMMMM , which is used for cropping in
3D VMMM, scans must be loaded without scan point clouds
created. If scan point clouds are created, the
PMMyLMM
MMMMMMMM is active and appears functional, but is not.

In this activity, you will practice general cropping of unwanted
scan data.
Follow these steps:
1. Load the scans in the cluster you want to crop.
A. In the MMMMMMMMM window, right-click on the cluster.
B. Click LMMM AMM MMMMM .
2. View the cluster in
3D VMMM

A. Right-click on the cluster in the MMMMMMMMM window.
B. Click VMMM > 3D VMMM .
