GENERAL MAINTENANCE
ALL MAINTENANCE WORK IS CARRIED OUT WHEN THE ENGINE IS STOPPED. ALWAYS
DISCONNECT THE SPARK PLUG LEAD.
SPARK PLUG INSPECTION
1- Check for discoloration and remove the carbon Standart electrode color : Tan color.
2- Check the spark plug type and gap. Standard spark : BR5ES (NGK).
-Spark plug gap : 0,7 - 0,8 mm.
3- Install the spark plug. Spark plug Torque : 28Nm (2,8 Kgm, 20 lb.pi)
SILENCER
You should periodically remove the Carbon deposits.
1- Remove the muffl er protector.
2- Remove the muffl er
3- Remove the Carbon deposits using a wire brush and by trapping the muffl er body lightly.
4- Reinstall the muffl er.
AIR FILTER
1- Remove the air fi lter cover and element.
2- Wash the element in solvent and dry.
3- Oil teh element and squeeze out excess oil. The element should be wet but not dripping.
recommanded oil : Foam-air-fi lter oil or SAE 20 motor oil.
4- Insert the element into the air fi lter .
N.B : Be sure the element sealing surface matches the air fi lter so there is no air leak.
The engine and mufl er will be very hot after the engine has been run. Avoid
touching the engine and muffl er while are still hot with any part of your body or
clothing during inspection or repair.
