6.6.2 Removal and installation of taper sleeve

The belt pulley of extruder main shaft uses taper sleeve as its installation style. The
disassembly and installation methods are as following (see Fig.6-3 for the installation and
Disassembly of taper sleeve):
(1)For disassemble of the taper sleeve and sprocket,

Disassemble the guard shield first if any.
②
Loosen the fastening bolts on the taper sleeve that can be used for jacking out the sleeve. Put
the just-off-from-sleeve bolts into the #2 holes and tighten them up to separate the taper sleeve
from the sprocket.
③
Take the taper sleeve and the sprocket out of the main shaft.
(2) For installation of the taper sleeve and sprocket.
①
Install the key in the counterpart keyway on shaft. Push the sprocket (including taper sleeve) to
the required position (note that the screw head shall face to the operator);
②
Tighten the fastening bolts on the taper sleeve;
③
Fix the bolts by torque wrenchr at last with a moment of 1088 Nm.
