Defects and repairs
Do not attempt to replace a defective mains lead .The
appliance has to be returned to an authorized service
centre for repair.
Using the self-clean button
The self-clean function must be used before using the
appliance for the first time and then regularly to remove
scale
1. Fill the tank to the maximum filling level.
2. Set the temperature control dial to the max position.
3. Plug the appliance in and switch on.
4. Allow the appliance to heat up until the heating light
switches off and then on again.
5. Unplug the appliance and hold it horizontally over the sink.
6. Press the self-clean button.
Hot water and steam will come out of the vents.Impurities
and scale will be washed away.
1. Move the iron backwards and forwards while this is
happening.
2. Release the self-clean button.
3. Stand the appliance upright on its heel.
4. Plug the appliance in and switch on.
5. Iron an old cloth or towel to dry the soleplate.
