Interconnection
Connect all the modules that are governed by the CNC to the SERCOS ring.
To do that, using SFO fiber optic cables:
Connect the OUT terminal of the first module with the IN terminal of the
subsequent module (adjacent to it) using the fiber optic line.
Repeat this procedure with the second module and so on until the last
module.
Connect the OUT terminal of the last module with the IN terminal of the
CNC.
Connect the IN terminal of the first module with the OUT terminal of the
CNC.
After making all these connections, the ring will be closed.
Example
How to identify an axis addressed in position 24 in the system SERCOS
ring?
When the identifier of the axis in the ring is higher than 15 (like in this case),
QP13 must be set so it meets the ratio:
Defined ID = ID to be selected at the rotary (15 x QP13).
Accordingly, for
defined ID = 24
, select the A position at the drive rotary
switch “NODE SELECT” switch (same as 9) and set QP13=1.
NOTE.
For each device, FAGOR supplies a optical fiber line to make the
connection to the adjacent module and, upon request, all the other
required optical fiber to complete the CNC connection.

RPS-160-SN0 regenerative power supply.
NOTE.
Note that if the machine has two separate QC-PDS systems (each
with their own power supply) and a single CNC, the same ring must
interconnect all devices of the two machine systems.

WARNING.
The bending radius of optical fiber cables SF0 and SF0-FLEX
should always be more than 30 mm. For SF0-V-FLEX cables, this radius
should be more than 60 mm.
