Setting Up the VLP 202 and VLH 102 Microphones
1.
Set the channel using the rotary switch

. For the VLH 102, remove the battery cover to access this switch.
Settings:
A
= 2.3 MHz,
C
= 2.3 MHz (volume buttons disabled),
B
= 2.8 MHz,
D
= 2.8 MHz (volume button disabled).
NOTES:
•
Before first use, fully charge the battery (see the
Installing the VLC 202 Charging Station
section).
•
Each microphone must be on a different frequency. For example, if one microphone is set to channel
A
or
C
, then
the other microphone must be set to a different frequency, such as
B
or
D
(the handheld microphone has only
channels
A
and
B
).
•
Do not set more than one microphone to the same channel in a system.

For pendant microphones only, apply the appropriate sticker (provided) at
2
to identify the microphone.
3.
Remove the battery cover
3
, insert the supplied rechargeable AA battery, and replace the
battery cover.
4.
For pendant microphones only, attach the lanyard to the microphone as follows:
a.
Press the lanyard into the guides on the sides of the lanyard lock
ã
.
b.
Press the top of the microphone clip to open it
ä
.
c.
Slide the lanyard lock upwards under the clip and release the clip
å
(see the illustration at right).
d.
Place the lanyard around neck. Holding the bottom of the lanyard, slide the
microphone and lock up so it is positioned approximately 4 inches (10.2 cm)
below the chin.
5.
Turn the microphone on by sliding the power switch

up. The LED lights green.
6.
Ensure that a direct line of sight exists from the microphone to the receiver (required
for proper operation). Do not block the IR transmitter window

.
7.
Speak in a normal tone of voice. Do not block the microphone port or grille opening

8.
Adjust the volume if necessary
