
Node Test Page
This page is used to test the VNM EC 200 pair by determining which controller, primary or
secondary, has the best communication with the devices in the VN-Matrix system at power
up (see figure 165). The VNM EC 200 that communicates best with these devices becomes
the Master and the other unit becomes the Slave.
The tested devices are called nodes. To create the list, enter the IP address of VN-Matrix
devices into the
Sources
list.

Adding nodes
NOTE:
Nodes can only be added on a VNM EC 200 that is unpaired.
1.
Using a Web browser, navigate to the Web-based user interface by entering the
physical LAN A (eth
0
) IP address of the
redundant primary
VNM EC 200.
2.
Select the
Configuration
page (see figure 165,

).
3.
Click on the
Node
test
link (

).
4.
Click
Add
at the bottom of the
Sources
list (

).
The following dialog opens.

Enter the desired IP address and click
OK
.
6.
Continue to add the IP addresses of from four to six VN-Matrix devices controlled by the
VNM EC 200 pair.
7.
When finished, click
Apply
Changes

NOTE:
The
redundant secondary
VNM EC 200 automatically matches its
Sources
list to the
redundant primary
VNM EC 200.
