Installation

Preparing the EWB 212

1. 

Based on where the wall box and cables will run, remove the knockout covers and insert them into the unused gaps on the 
top, bottom, or sides of the wall box (see 

Knockout Covers

 on the previous page).

Mount the EWB 212 

directly to the wall

 or to an 

existing in-wall EU junction box

.

Wall Mounting

Recommended fasteners

The EWB 212 can be mounted to any convenient place on a wall, using the appropriate fasteners (not provided).

Do not mount to masonry joints.

1. 

If required, locate the center of a wall stud and hold the wall box 
where it will be mounted.

2. 

Mark the position of the four wall mounting holes (for the 
dimensions, see the figure to the right).

3. 

Select a suitable fastener (see the 

Recommended Fasteners

 

table above) and drill the holes, as recommended in the table.

4. 

If required, insert a grounding screw (not provided. See 

Grounding

 on the previous page).

5. 

Secure the wall box to the wall.

6. 

If required, install a cable raceway to manage the cables.

Mounting to an Existing In-wall EU Junction Box

1. 

Align the mounting holes of the wall box with the two holes in the EU junction 
box (60 mm center to center).

2. 

Secure the wall box to the junction box, using M3 screws (not provided).

Completing the Installation

1. 

Run and connect cables to the device (see the device user guide).

2. 

Mount the device using M3 screws.
