SIS Commands
The DSC can be configured and controlled via a host computer or other device (such as a
control system) attached to the front panel USB port or the rear panel RS-232 connector.
Enter SIS commands using an application such as the Extron DataViewer, available at
DataViewer Help
file to use this program).
For the RS-232 connection the scaler uses a protocol of 9600 baud, 1 stop bit, no parity,
and no flow control.
SIS commands consist of one or more characters per field. No special characters are
required to begin or end a command sequence. When the DSC determines that a
command is valid, it executes the command and sends a response to the host device.
All responses from the scaler to the host end with a carriage return and a line feed
(CR/LF =
]
]
), indicating the end of the response character string (one or more characters).
Copyright Information
The DSC sends the following copyright message upon connection to the host if the
DSC is already connected via RS-232. (This message is displayed only with an RS-232
connection).
