Locking IR Remote Control Access
The AVT 200HD Remote Control can be set to lock out users from using it to control the
AVT. This is done by selecting the
IR
LOCKOUT
from the front panel Exec Mode Select
menu (see “
Locking and Unlocking the Front Panel (Executive Modes)
,” earlier
in this section); SIS commands (see the
executive mode commands
in the “Remote

the program help file). When remote control is locked, all other AVT 200HD controls remain
available (SIS commands, the web pages, the control software, and the front panel).
Using the On-screen Display (OSD)
The AVT 200HD provides a translucent on-screen display (OSD) on which you can view
program information for the current channel or the volume level.
NOTE:
The OSD screens are for viewing only. You cannot make selections from them.
Introductory Display
Whenever you change a channel, a translucent display pops up on the television screen,
showing the following information:
•
Channel number
•
Channel name
•
Program title
•
Time of day
•
Signal strength
This same display appears when you power on the AVT if it is connected to a display that
is already powered on. You cannot disable this introductory display. After approximately
5 seconds, the display disappears.
