PCIe
The gigaSOM carrier provides three PCIe interfaces: two on M.2 key B slot (J17) and one on M.2 key
E slot (J20).
3.12.1
M.2 key B (J17)
The gigaSOM carrier provides an M.2 Key B slot (J17). The M.2 connector (J17) suports multiple
interfaces USB 2.0, 2x PCIe, SATA, UIM, I2C.
1x PCIe is shared with SATA. By using the slide switch (S2), it is possible to determine whether the
interface PCIe or SATA.

3.12.1.1
SIM Card
The gigaSOM carrier features a SIM card (J18). The card is connected to the UIM interface of the
M.2 connector (J17).
3.12.2
M.2 key E
The gigaSOM carrier provides an M.2 Key E slot (J20) for connecting Wifi, NFC, GNSS and Bluetooth
devices. The M.2 connector (J20) suports multiple interfaces USB 2.0, PCIe, SDIO, UART, I2C, I2S.
