Performing a Sweep Sequence
Triggering the Sweep Sequence
The following procedure explains how to control the sweep by using an input trigger: the
laser starts sweeping when it receives a rising edge trigger signal. When it reaches the stop,
it waits for a trigger to sweep again (for more details on signal levels, see
The following figure illustrates a triggered one-way sweep:
To perform a sweep sequence with a trigger signal:

Connect the external trigger generator to the Trigger In BNC connector located on the
T200S rear panel (see

In the SWEEP mode window, touch the
button.
The Sweep mode settings menu appears.

In the
Sweep Control
area, select
Trigger In
.
The
icon appears in the
Parameters
area of the SWEEP window.

Touch anywhere outside the menu to exit.

If you want to arm the laser to the start position before sweeping, touch the
button.
The laser moves to the start position and is ready to perform a sweep.

Touch the
button to start the triggered sweep cycle.

If the laser was not armed, the laser first moves to the start wavelength/frequency
before waiting for a trigger signal.

If the laser was previously armed to the start position, it directly waits for a trigger.
