Latency
Latency Results
Note:
The “--” indicates that the result is not available because the test has not
run yet or the measured value is not valid. For IQS-8120NGE and
IQS-8130NGE in Dual Test Set one-way latency measurement mode
,
Not
Measurable
is displayed when the maximum latency is higher than
500 ms.
Frame Size
: Indicates the frame sizes used for the test. Up to seven
different frame sizes can be displayed.
TX-to-RX/P1-to-P2/P2-to-P1
/
Local to Remote
/
Remote to Local
:
Gives the latency for the corresponding direction.
P1-to-P2/P2-to-P1 is only available with IQS-8510B.
Note:
Latency measurement values below 15
μ
s will be shown as “<15
μ
s” for
Dual Test Set. For all other test cases, values below 0.5
μ
s will be shown as
“<500 ns”.
Current Trial
: Indicates the current trial number.
Unit
: Select the throughput result unit. Choices are
s
,
ms
,
μ
s
, and
ns
. The default setting is
μ
s.
Mode
: Select the propagation time mode. The default setting is
Store and Forward
. Choices are:
Store and Forward
(Frame Latency) allows the calculation of the
propagation time of a frame.
Cut Through
(Bit Latency) allows the calculation of the
propagation time of a bit.
Displayed Results
: Select the displayed result mode:
Current
,
Minimum
,
Maximum
, or
Average
. The default setting is
Current
.
