Configuring the Power Management Options
To help you get the optimum performance out of your unit, it comes with
predefined sets of parameters (plans) to manage power.
When you do not use the unit for a while, the display may be turned off to
save power. You can also configure the unit to go into sleep mode after the
specified duration has expired (see
For all of these actions, you can set idle durations for AC adapter/charger
and battery operation. The values that you set are kept in memory even
when you turn the unit off.
Note:
When the backlight is turned off and the
LED is lit and not blinking, the
unit operation is not interrupted. Touch anywhere on the screen to return to
normal operation.

Power Plan
Characteristics
EXFO - Standard (selected
by default)
Allows you to work without interruption
(sleep, hibernation), when the unit is
connected to AC power, and optimizes the
energy consumption when the unit is
powered by batteries.
EXFO - Always On
Allows you to work with the unit without
interruption (sleep, hibernation), regardless
of whether the unit is powered by AC or
batteries.
EXFO - Max Battery
Optimizes the energy consumption, which
could be particularly useful when you
operate the unit on batteries.
