UTBOARD
Lower the outboard until the trailering bracket
locks into place in the stern brackets (see “B”
below).
To disengage bracket —
Tilt the outboard ful-
ly. Return the trailering bracket to its stowed
position. Lower the outboard to its vertical po-
sition.
Manual Tilt Models
Trailer your boat with the outboard in a verti-
cal position. If your trailer does not provide ad-
equate road clearance, tilt the outboard as
needed and support the outboard with an ac-
cessory trailering bracket.
The outboard must be
restrained when trailering. Bouncing dur-
ing transport may damage the outboard
and the boat’s transom.
Use of the tilt support bracket
or when trailering may cause damage to
the outboard.
TRANSPORTING / STORAGE
If the outboard is laid down for transportation
or storage, the oiling system must be primed
before reusing the outboard. Refer to
If the outboard is removed from the boat for
transportation or storage, you MUST seal the
fuel lines on the boat and on the outboard to
prevent leaks and prevent contaminants from
entering the fuel system.

WARNING
A small amount of fuel may be released
when the fuel line is disconnected.
Gasoline is extremely flammable and
highly explosive under certain condi-
tions. Do not allow disconnected fuel
hoses to leak fuel.
Use caution when working on the fuel
system. Wear safety glasses and work in
a well ventilated area. Extinguish all
smoking materials and make certain no
open flames or ignition sources exist.
Always wipe off any fuel spillage.
