If the UPS is not connected to an external circuit, a jumper must be placed on pins
J4-1 and J4-2. Pins J4-3 and J4-4 should remain disconnected (standard
configuration).
Powering from a Generator
The J5 input terminal is used for communication with the generator (information
about the UPS receiving power from a generator). The method of connection is
presented in Fig. 31.

Battery switch
Terminals J6 and J7 are used when an optional battery switch system is used. Fig.
32 presents the manner of making the connection. Table 7 presents the pinout and
the relevant description.
