•
Make sure that the device is switched off before
unplugging it.
•
Disconnect the power supply before transporting
the device.
•
If the power connection cable of this device is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufac-
turer or the manufacturer’s customer service
department or a similarly qualified person in order
to prevent risks.
Maintenance
•
Before conducting any maintenance on the
device, disconnect the mains plug.
•
Only those maintenance and fault elimination
tasks described here may be carried out. Any
other tasks must be completed by a specialist.
•
Only use original replacement parts. Only these
replacement parts are designed and suitable for
the device. Other replacement parts will not only
lead to an invalidation of the warranty, they may
also endanger you and your environment.
Device-specific safety instructions
•
Only pump clean water! Never pump sand or
other abrasive media.
•
The minimum flow per hour must be 80 l/h (1.3 l/
min).
•
These devices are not designed to be used to
implement drip irrigation since the water flow is
too low and the cooling of the device by the con-
veyed medium would no longer be ensured.
•
Observe the maximum suction lift. The greater the
suction lift the lower the conveyancing perfor-
mance of the pump.
•
Do not subject the device to rain. Do not use the
device in wet surroundings.
•
Do not use the device in areas where there is dan-
ger of explosion or in the vicinity of combustible
liquids or gases!
•
Do not aim the water jet directly toward the device
or other electrical components! Mortal danger due
to electric shock!
•
Lay the extension cord in such a way that it can-
not get into the liquid being conveyed.
•
Do not install or turn on the device if there are
people or animals in the conveying medium (e. g.
swimming pool) or making contact with the con-
veying medium.
•
Do not leave the device unsupervised. Unplug the
mains plug during periods of extended absence.
•
As a general rule, repairs are only to be carried
out by an electrician. If repairs are performed
improperly, there is danger of liquid getting into
the electronic components of the device.
•
Remember that moving parts may also be located
behind ventilation and venting slots.
•
Symbols affixed to your tools may not be removed
or covered. Information on the device that is no
longer legible must be replaced immediately.

Instructions for use
Installation and commissioning
Setting up
•
The device must be placed on a horizontal, level
surface that is sufficiently capable of supporting
the total weight of the device when filled with
water.
•
To prevent vibrations, the device should be placed
on an elastic base
[support]
(e. g. a rubber mat).
•
The installation site must be well ventilated and
protected from the effects of weather.
•
When being used on garden ponds and swim-
ming pools, the device must be set up so as to
guard against overflowing and protect against fall-
ing in. Additional legal requirements must be
observed.
•
When operating indoors you must ensure that
there is a drain in the floor or a leak prevention
mechanism.
•
Before starting up, check the suction hose to
ensure that it is sealed. Bubbles of air in the suc-
tion hose are an indication that there may be
leaks and may lead to failure of the device!
Connect suction line
•
All screw connections must be sealed with thread
tape (e.g. Teflon tape) since leaks will cause air to
be drawn in and will reduce or prevent water suc-
tion.
•
Teflon tape should be used for metal pipe threads;
plastic threads must be sealed using thread tape.
•
All components of the suction line must be profes-
sionally installed.
•
The suction pipe should have an internal diameter
of at least 25 mm; it must be kink resistant and
suitable for vacuum use.
•
The suction line should be as short as possible,
since the conveying capacity decreases as the
length of the line increases.
Read and observe the operating instructions
before commissioning.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the device!
The suction line must be installed so that it
does not exert any mechanical force or ten-
sion on the pump.
If the conveying medium is contaminated, a
suction filter must be used to protect the
pump from sand and dirt.
Note:
A check valve is recommended so
that the water does not run off when the
pump is shut off.
Note:
Use a pre-filter to filter our any con-
tamination (e.g. sand, clay, etc.).
