ADJUSTING FLUID LEVEL INDICATOR
To protect the pump, the machine uses an infrared fluid sensor to test if there is smoke
fluid in the tube. If the sensor detects not enough fluid in the tube, the machine will enter a
protection mode after about 20 seconds and shuts the pump down. The display will start
flashing. There are three possibilities to release the sensor after refilling fluid.

Use the
MENU
button to call the fog output option. First, set the output to “
0
” and confirm
with
ENTER
. Then set the output to “
1
”. After about ten seconds, the display will stop
flashing and fluid will flow through the tube.

In DMX mode, the procedure is similar. First set the fog output to “
0
“ in the setting menu
and then to “
1
”, so that fluid will flow through the tube. If there is not enough fluid in the
tube after about 20 seconds, the pump will be shut down again. In this case, repeat the
procedure.

button pressed on the cable remote control. After about 10
seconds, the protection mode will be deactivated.
Switching the fluid sensor on and off
To deactivate the fluid sensor, press the button
MENU
until the display indicates “
orl
“.
Then press
ENTER
to make your setting. Use the buttons
▲
and
▼
to select the “
off
”
setting and confirm with
ENTER
. Select the “
on
” setting to reactivate the sensor. Note,
however, that the fluid sensor is a very important protection mechanism. For proper
operation, it should be activated.
DMX CONTROL
Making the DMX connections
The unit features 3- and 5-pin XLR plugs for DMX connection.
•
Connect the output of your DMX controller to the
DMX IN
jack of the machine with a DMX cable.
•
Connect the
DMX OUT
jack of the machine to the DMX input of the next unit in the chain. Always connect one
output to the input of the next unit until all units are connected.
•
At the last unit, the DMX cable has to be terminated. Plug the terminator with a 120
Ω
resistor between Signal (–)
and Signal (+) in the DMX output of the last unit.
•
If the cable length exceeds 300 m or the number of DMX devices is greater than 32, it is recommended to insert
a DMX level amplifier to ensure proper data transmission.
Occupation of the XLR connection:
Adjusting the DMX start address
For operation with a controller with DMX512 protocol, the fog machine is equipped with
one control channel. To be able to operate the machine with a DMX controller, the DMX
starting address must be set for the first DMX channel. For this, press the button
MENU
so
many times until “
“ is indicated in the display. Then press
ENTER
to make your
settings. Use the buttons
▲
and
▼
to set the address between
001
and
512
. Once again,
press
ENTER
to confirm your settings. You may now start operating the machine via your
DMX controller. The DMX channel contains values between 0 and 255 regulating the fog
output volume.
