8) Cleaning and/or disinfection
o
Weekly
disinfection of the container
Wet the inner surface of the emptied container with a
disinfectant (e.g. Schülke Mikrozid
®
). Let the disinfectant
act for the length of time recommended by the manufacturer.
o
Monthly
cleaning and disinfection of the container
Fill the container with a suitable cleaning and disinfecting
agent (e.g. MERZ Mucasol
®
2 %). Let the cleaning agent
and disinfectant act for the length of time recommended by
the manufacturer.
9) Clean with a suitable cleaning and disinfecting agent (e.g.
Meliseptol
®
New Formula) and a lint-free cloth:
o
Outside of the container
o
Container cap with connector hose and sensor line
o
Suction or discharge tube
10) Rinse the container 2 x with tap water to remove residues from
the cleaning solution.
11) Rinse the container 2 x with distilled water.
The container has been cleaned and/or disinfected for further
use.
12) Fill the containers accordingly with wash buffer or distilled water.
13) Screw the caps with the connectors back on the containers.
14) Connect the connector hose and sensor line of the containers
with the device.

Connector Out: waste liquid
o
Connector In 1: distilled water
o
Connector In 2: wash buffer
The containers have been reconnected with the device.
8.3.3 Cleaning the device and accessories
Clean the device surfaces and the accessories (carrier system and
wash basin cover) regularly.
