NOTES ON BATTERIES AND RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES

-

Batteries/rechargeable batteries do not belong in the hands of children.

-

Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; there is a risk that

they could be swallowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor im-
mediately.

-

Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries in contact with the skin

can cause acid burns; therefore, use suitable protective gloves.

-

Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown

into a fi re. There is a risk of explosion!

-

Normal, non-rechargeable batteries must not be charged. There is a risk of ex-

plosion! Only charge rechargeable batteries that are intended for this purpose;
use a suitable battery charger.

-

Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the battery/rechargeable

battery (pay attention to plus/+ and minus/-).

INSERTING/REPLACING BATTERIES

Observing the correct polarity, insert one Type AA/Mignon battery into the battery
compartment on the back of the clock.

In order to ensure enduring and secure operation you should use a high-quality
alkaline battery.

A rechargeable battery may be used, but due to the lower voltage output

(rechargeable battery = 1.2V, standard battery = 1.5V) and the lower capac-
ity, the service life is much shorter, which means that rechargeable batteries
need to be frequently changed/charged.

If you still wish to use a rechargeable battery, we recommend you use a
NiMH battery with low self-discharge.

Set the time correctly, using the small red wheel above the battery compartment.

The battery needs to be replaced if major time differences suddenly occur or if the
clock hands stop moving.

If you do not intend to use the clock for a long period (e.g. if it is to be stored away),
remove the battery fi rst. If batteries grow old, they can leak and damage the clock’s
battery compartment, leading to loss of warranty/guarantee!

INSTALLATION

Hang the wall clock, using the mounting bracket on the back, on a nail, screw or hook
on a vertical wall.

Due to the heaviness of the radio wall clock, ensure solid mounting! If the

clock falls, its casing will be damaged and the warranty/guarantee will be
void!

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled
for any reason.

Please use a soft, dry, clean cloth for cleaning. Do not apply too much pressure on
the casing or the front glass, as this can cause damage or scratch marks.

Do not use any chemical cleaning agents, as they can discolour the plastic casing.
