Cleaning conditions

 • Always store your

vacuum cleaner in a dry
place away from damp
atmosphere and do not
use it to pick up water or
other liquids.

 • Avoid vacuuming freshly

shampooed carpets while
still damp.

 • Never pick up hot cinders

or lighted cigarette ends.

 • Do not use the cleaner in

the presence of flammable
gases.

  • Keep the cleaner away from

open fires or other heat
sources such as gas fires
or radiators when they are
on.

Electrical Cord

 • Do not pull on the electrical

cord to remove the plug
from the wall socket.

• Ensure the electrical cord

is kept well away from the
rotating brush of your
cleaner while in operation.

  • Never allow anyone to have

access to the rotating brush
unless the cleaner is
disconnected from the
electrical outlet.

 • Remove the plug from the wall

socket before attempting any
form of user maintenance
specified in the Instructions for
use.

• Do not carry or drag your vacuum

cleaner by the electrical cord.

• Keep the electrical cord away

from heat, oil, sharp edges and
rough surfaces to prevent
damage to the cord.

Using the cleaner

 • This cleaner is designed to be

operated by adults. Children
should not be allowed to tamper
with the controls or play with the
cleaner.

• Never leave the cleaner running

unattended.

• Extreme care is required when

cleaning stair carpets with your
cleaner. Ensure that your
cleaner is in a stable position at
the bottom of the stairs, and
take care not to overstretch the
hose.

 • When fitting and changing the

accessories always follow the
Instructions for use.

Important Safety Instructions

It is important that this instruction book should be retained with the cleaner for
future reference. Should the cleaner be sold or transferred to another owner, or
should you move and leave the cleaner, always ensure that this book is supplied
with it in order that the new owner can be acquainted with its functions and the
relevant warnings.

Your new vacuum cleaner is intended for household use; its life may be shortened
if it is used extensively for other purposes. For heavy-duty vacuuming, e.g. during
renovation work, we recommend that you use one of our commercial cleaning
products.

These warnings are provided in the interest of safety. You should read them
carefully before using the cleaner.
