7.8 MACS/D RACK CABINET
For installation and operating convenience, the MXA controller is supplied mounted in an steel equipment rack
with the Coil Driver Amplifier (CDA). Although the physical placement of the rack cabinet will usually not affect its
performance, the cabinet should be located at least 1m (approximately 3ft) distant from any large power transformer
and, as a safety consideration, it must be located outside of the 0.5 mT (5G) field contour of any large magnet.
7.9 COIL DRIVER AMPLIFIER (CDA)
Access to the rear of the CDA chassis, e.g. for verifying the amplifier A.C. mains input voltage, may be made by
removing the four rear interface panel screws and moving the panel aside.
