Final Installation and Power Up
It’s a good idea to look over the entire installation before applying power to the enclosure.
• Clean out dust and debris from the enclosure interior.
• Check for loose connections, bare wires, and damaged insulation. Repair any damage that is
discovered.
Check Main Power Wiring
Check resistance between line, neutral, and ground busses with a digital voltmeter (DVM).
• Line to ground resistance should be 10 M Ohm or higher.
• Neutral to ground resistance should be 0 Ohm.
• Line to neutral resistance should be 10 M Ohm or higher.
• Re-install the rack power supply into the top slot of the ERn enclosure.
WARNING:
RISK OF DEATH BY ELECTRIC SHOCK! For your own safety, do not supply
power to the enclosure until all installation is complete, connected circuits
have been tested and found free of electrical shorts, and covers have been
replaced. Follow appropriate Lockout/Tagout procedures as described in
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 70E.
WARNING:
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Working inside the enclosure with power applied
exposes you to the possibility of dangerous currents and voltages.
Line voltages will be on the input terminals during this procedure. You must
be a qualified electrician familiar with the hazards of working with high-
voltage electricity. Use extreme caution when performing this procedure.
