How to replace LVDS cards in a Gio, Eos Ti, or Gio @5
Symptoms/Issue
Internal video issues including loss of video or intermittent issues can sometime be due to a failing or incorrectly set
LVDS card/s. If the settings are correct and all the cables and connectors look ok, it may help to replace the LVDS
card.
Fix/Solution
1. Lift the screen panel and remove the lower chassis cover underneath.
2. If there's still not enough room to remove the lower screws in the panels behind the screens, disconnect the
display panel lift piston/s which should be accessible now that you've removed the lower chassis cover. Be
sure to prop up the screen so that it doesn't fall on you.
3. Remove the cover/s behind the affected screen/s until you see a 2x3" blue board attached to the back of the
screen (shown below). Eos Ti has an extra panel inside attached to the back of each screen which covers the
boards.
