Connecting SMPTE (Expression and Insight only)
In order to use SMPTE equipment with Expression and Insight facepanels, the SMPTE
option must have been installed at the factory. Connect the facepanel to SMPTE equipment
using an appropriate SMPTE cable.
Connect SMPTE equipment to the facepanel:
Step 1: Turn facepanel power off.
Step 2: Insert SMPTE cable into the connector on the back of the facepanel labeled
SMPTE.
Step 3: Power up facepanel.

This pinout is for balanced input. For unbalanced input , make the following connections
in the input cable: Connect XLR pin 1 and pin 2 together, tying Common to . The
unbalanced signal connects to XLR pin 3, Signal –.
