4. Installation of the Espedeo Supra-5000 

This section describes how to install, connect and optimize the Espedeo Supra-5000 for the best 
audiovisual quality. The projector supports two types of installation: forward mounting and ceiling 
mounting. Forward mounting is the installation method in which the projector is horizontally placed on the 
special base of the projector, with the magnetic cover of the projector facing up. Ceiling mounting is the 
installation method in which the whole projector is inverted and the projector is suspended on the ceiling 
with the Espedeo VM-1140 VESA Ceiling Mount, with the magnetic cover of the projector facing down. 

 

4.1   Requirements for the Installation Environment 

Cinemas need to implement strict technical requirements and specifications for the projection 
environment, fundamentally to prevent or reduce the equipment problems caused by the  
unsuitable environment, to provide a strong technical guarantee for the digital projection system  
to operate smoothly. 

  Transport passageway and preparation of machine 

space 

The narrowest part of the passage should be more than 100 cm, the narrowest part of the 
door/staircase of the projection room should be more than 80 cm and the turning space should  
be more than 150 cm. The actual size of projector landing (including lens) is 803×480×275 mm,  
The net weight is 38 KG. 
 

 

 

CAUTION 

▪

 

The maximum outer packing size and weight of the projector are 890 (L)×560 (W)×390 (H) 
mm, Gross weight is 50 KG. 

▪

 

The fan is used to cool the projector. When installing the projector, you must leave enough 
space more than 20cm on the front, top, left and right sides of the projector to ensure  
smooth ventilation. There should be an operating space of more than 50 cm on the  
rear side of the projector. 

 

 

  Environmental Requirements 

▪

 

Temperature of the projection room

: The operating temperature of the projector shall be 

10 to 35

o

C (the ideal room temperature is about 20

o

C). 

▪

 

Humidity of the projection room

: The projection room shall be equipped with a refrigeration 

and dehumidification system and the humidity shall be kept between 10% and 85%. The 
projection room shall be equipped with a thermometer and hygrometer for regular monitoring.
