Site preparation
O-scan enables maximum flexibility in device positioning on the
installation site. The system comprises four main parts:
1
Patient seat
2
Operating console
3
Magnetic unit
4
Electronic unit
The modular design means that the Magnetic Unit, Electronic Unit and
Console can be positioned separately, or placed adjacent up to a certain
distance from one another (see distances table), provided that the
conditions stated in paragraph “Patient area” are observed, in the chapter
“Instructions for Safe Use” of this document.
The Electronic Unit is equipped with a connection panel to enable
connection to the PC positioned on the Operating Console. For distances
up to 1.5 m, connection cables are routed through cable ducting with a
diameter of 10 cm, placed on the floor. For greater distances, the
connection cables must be inserted in a trip-proof guide, anchored to the
floor.
Thanks to the modularity, the minimum clearances required for
installation of O-scan is a square of 9 m
2
(97 square feet).
For increased comfort of the patient and operator, refer to the example
images below when completing installation.
