Chapter 3
Precautions against Mechanical Hazards
In compliance with standard EN 60601-1 and subsequent amendments,
all parts of the O-scan system are mechanically stable. It is advisable,
however to take some precautions.
☛
Patient seat (see chapter 6 in this document)
☛
Leg rest (see chapter 6 in this document)
☛
Padded lateral supports on the magnetic unit (see chapter 6 in this
document)
W a r n i n g
The maximum load capacity for the patient seat is 150 kg. Do not
exceed this limit. Overloading may cause mechanical failure of the
seat, with possible injury to the patient or operator.
W a r n i n g
The operator must help the patient on and off the seat, ensuring that
the patient uses exclusively the front part of the seat and does not
attempt to get on laterally and/or from the rear.
The patient and/or operator must never lean with their entire body
weight on rear sections of the patient's seat to avoid the risk of the
seat overturning with possible injury to either the patient or operator.
W a r n i n g
The maximum load capacity of the leg rest is 28 kg. Do not exceed this
limit. Overloading may cause mechanical failure and/or overturning of
the support, with possible harm to the patient or operator.
The leg rest is not designed to accommodate the seated patient and/or
operator.
