R290 User’s Guide
Receiving a Call
When you receive a call, the phone rings and the indicator light on the top
of the phone blinks orange rapidly. The display appears similar to:
Answering a Call
Press
YES
to answer the call. When the call is finished, press
NO
.
Rejecting a Call
Press
NO
when the phone rings. If the caller’s network supports it, the
caller will hear a disconnection tone.
Unanswered Calls
If you have been unable to answer a call,
‘
Called’
and the last number that
called will be shown. To answer the calls, see “To dial the last 10 numbers
dialled, received or missed” on page 18.
Putting a Call on Hold
To put a call on hold, press
SOFT LEFT
and select the ‘Hold’ function.
To mute the active call, press
SOFT RIGHT
. To take the call off hold,
press
YES
again, or
2, YES
to end call.
Calling Line Identification (CLIP)
The Calling Line Identification service (sometimes known as Caller ID)
shows the caller’s phone number when you receive a call (you have to
order this service). If the caller’s name is stored in your phone book, the
name is displayed instead of the number. To enable press
SOFT LEFT
1, 1, 3, 1
.
Connected Line Identification (COLP)
The Connected Line Identification service (sometimes known as Connect
ID) shows the telephone number of the ultimate destination of an
outgoing call. If your call had been diverted the number given will be
final connected number and not the one dialled. This service is not
supported by all networks.
