trap-community
Description
This command is used to configure the community name for
traps.
Syntax
snmp-server trap-community string
string
The community name. A printable string, to enter
between quotes.
Characters with most significant bit to 1 are not
supported.

Configuring a TRAP client
Up to five TRAP clients can be configured.
4.2.3.1 snmp-server
host
Description
This command is used to configure a TRAP client.
Syntax
snmp-server host ipAddr traps [version {1|2}]
[udp-port portNum]
or
no snmp-server host ipAddr
ipAddr
The IP address of the TRAP client, in the dotted
format.
version
Used to specify the format of the TRAP messages.
Default is version 1.
portNum
The UDP port number to send the TRAPs to.
Default is 162.
no snmp-server host ipAddr
Remove TRAP client with IP address ipAddr.
Default
No TRAP client
