Group And Channel Selection
Several methods, some of which depend on programming, can be used to se-
lect a new group or channel. These procedures are presumed to be starting
from the normal receive display.
METHOD 1
If group selection is programmed to the SYSTEM/GROUP/
CHANNEL knob, select a group by turning the SYSTEM/
GROUP/CHANNEL knob to the desired group. The display
registers the new group name on line two. If the wrap option
is off and the knob is moved to a position greater than the
number of programmed groups, the highest programmed
group will remain selected.
METHOD 2
If group selection is programmed as the primary function of
the RAMP control
,and ., selects a group by pressing
,or ., to scroll through the group list. The display reg-
isters the new group name on line two.
METHOD 3
Press
g
to enter the group select mode and follow the se-
lection mode rules detailed earlier. Presses of the RAMP
control will now scroll through different groups.
