Procedures
3.1
Check on telephone
The digital system telephones have a built-in self test facility that can be initiated by pressing three keys
simultaneously for three seconds. Self test can only be initiated in idle state. Initiate self test and verify
that the telephone functions properly. If not replace the telephone.
If there is a voice communication problem also check the connection of the telephone handset to the tel-
ephone and test using another handset if the original handset is suspected to be faulty.
3.2
Check RASC connection
When encountering communication failures to RASC verify proper settings for the V.24-port and the pro-
grammable parameters for the built-in modem and corresponding parameters for RASC on the PC. For
more information consult document EN/LZB BS 103 1197 RASC Uen, "RASC".
