Check on configuration data for trunks
When checking configuration data for trunks verify the following:
•
That the selected line signalling diagram agrees with the public network for the relevant trunk and the
country specific session is loaded.
•
That the country specific RASC session is loaded.
•
This can vary depending on the type of public exchange which type of trunk is connected.
•
Signalling to public exchange; decadic, DTMF, MFC/MFE or ISDN.
•
Supervision times.
3.6
Voltage measurements
System voltages can be measured either using the RASC tool (menu systems- ad-converters) or direct-
ly on the backplane. As it is possible to cause a short on the lines during measurement all boards in the
cabinet should be removed. Test points on the backplane are accessible only if the CPU-D_ in position 0
is removed (refer to 1531-BDV11308 for details).
3.7
Check on power supply
Check the secondary voltage of the transformer(~36VAC), generally power supply (48VDC) and battery
charger regarding connection to mains and functioning fuses. Check (if installed) the battery condition of
the power back-up. Replace (if any) faulty units. The voltages (see drawing below) can be verified on the
backplane. As there is always the risk of short circuits these measurements should be done when all
boards have been removed.
